Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will work closely with the Hotel's Food & Beverage outlets management team during the peak summer season. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide on-the-floor supervision, support, and coaching to employees to maintain service standards
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and anticipate needs for upcoming events
  • Ensure compliance with service essentials, steps of service, and brand standards
  • Review and respond to guest comments in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in conducting shift briefings and departmental meetings
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and safety of the outlets
  • Develop effective working relationships with all supporting departments
  • Adhere to all corporate, hotel, and departmental policies and procedures, including Health & Safety guidelines
  • Perform other duties as required within the department

A competitive salary starting at $55,765 is offered for this position.


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Minimum 1-2 years supervisory or management experience in Food & Beverage, preferably in an upscale hotel or restaurant
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities with a service-focused personality
  • Valid Serving it Right Certification and FoodSafe Level One
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Wine knowledge (WSET Level 2 or above) and Hospitality diploma/degree are assets

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
