Job Description

What we are looking for:

Due to recent movement within our Front Office department, we have an opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our management team. As part of a team of 4 x Assistant Managers, you will report directly to our Front Desk Manager and will be responsible for overseeing our team of Porters and Guest Service Agents.

You will be a real people person with a big heart, who is a fantastic leader and leads by example. Someone who will represent our friendly and professional 5-star service philosophy to create peak moments for our Guests and our Staff at every opportunity.

A proactive attitude that translates to a high-performance mind set and an outstanding attention to detail is required for the role and you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, award-winning team. 

You will cover a range of shifts alternating between 7am till 3pm, 3pm till 11pm and there will also be the requirement to cover some overnights shifts, 11pm till 7am. This role is expected work weekends.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist in over-seeing the day to day operations of the Front Office.
  • Effective management to achieve a reputation as a market leader in service.
  • Manage and coach the Front Office team to provide personalised, high quality services.
  • Supervision of lobby services including car parking and portering, ensuring guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible.
  • Ensure public areas are clean and well presented with regular monitoring.
  • Handle all guest enquiries and complaints in a courteous and effective manner, following through to ensure all issues are rectified to the guest’s full satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all information regarding a guest that may improve the quality of their stay is passed on to appropriate departments.
  • Work closely and successfully with all other departments to help achieve total guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

 What you will have:

  • Previous experience working in a Hotel / Resort.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A true hospitality professional dedicated to providing customer service excellence.
  • Strong leadership skills with the desire to lead by example.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and public holidays.
