Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Fitness and Recreation areas.
    • Ensure the facilities are clean, well-maintained, and adequately stocked with necessary equipment and supplies.
    • Monitor and ensure all guest services and activities are of high quality.
    • Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
    • Supervise fitness instructors, recreation staff, and other team members.
  2. Team Management:

    • Assist in hiring, training, and motivating fitness and recreation staff.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to staff.
    • Ensure staff adheres to policies, procedures, and safety standards.
    • Promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
  3. Guest Experience:

    • Ensure a personalized and high-quality guest experience in the fitness and recreation areas.
    • Develop and implement new programs, fitness classes, and recreational activities for guests.
    • Ensure the wellness services and programs are aligned with the brand’s standards of excellence.
  4. Administrative Duties:

    • Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and ordering supplies and equipment.
    • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, inventory, and financial reports.
    • Assist with marketing initiatives and the promotion of fitness and recreational programs.
  5. Health and Safety Compliance:

    • Enforce health and safety policies, ensuring all staff is properly trained.
    • Ensure the proper usage of fitness equipment and provide safety briefings to guests.
    • Respond quickly and appropriately in emergencies.

 


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Recreation Management, or a related field (preferred).
    • Relevant certifications in fitness, wellness, or recreation (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Fitness Instructor certifications).
  • Experience:

    • Prior experience in a similar role, ideally in a hotel, resort, or fitness facility.
    • At least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
    • Strong background in fitness, recreation, or wellness programs.
  • Skills:

    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
    • Proficiency in fitness-related technologies and software (e.g., scheduling and booking systems).
    • Ability to foster a positive and motivating environment for both staff and guests.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and move fitness equipment or supplies.
    • Ability to stand, walk, and interact with guests for extended periods.
