Part of the Accor portfolio, The Clarence Hotel Sydney, soon to be part of the Handwritten Collection, has recently opened with a buzz in its central Sydney CBD location near Wynyard, Pitt st Mall, Barangaroo and Darling Harbour.

Clarence is in the funky part of town, where the buildings operate large business deals by day, and the nightlife is a plethora of hidden bars and lane-ways of entertainment. The Clarence Hotel Sydney features 50 hotel rooms, gym, and soon to come a Restaurant and a Bar once all stages are complete.

You’ll be joining a property undergoing growth and transformation, led by a dynamic and forward-thinking General Manager who is passionate about mentoring emerging leaders. Job Description

Alongside our Front Office Manager this role will support and oversee daily Front Office operations.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the Front Office team to consistently deliver high service standards.
  • Drive team performance on loyalty enrollment, upselling initiatives, guest satisfaction and related KPIs.
  • Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Support training, performance management and development of Front Office team members.
  • Review guest feedback, reports, and service metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Reservation Handling 
  • Fastcom reporting
  • Oracle Nor1
  • Manage Opera Cloud 

Qualifications

You will bring with you prior experience of at least 3-5 years in Front Office operations, including working in an Assistant Manager or leadership role in Front Office.

What we are looking for:

  • You will preferably come from an Accor Background desired but not essential 
  • You are an effective team builder with a keen focus on driving efficiencies and improving operational performance.
  • Possesses excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving skills and thrives in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
  • Good financial and analytical understanding.
  • You will be able to work Independently yet have close relation to the General Manager 
  • You will bring maturity to the role when handling Team Members and Guests alike 
  • Seeking next step will suit someone in a supervisor eager for the next step but can work independently 
  • You will bring strong knowledge of Opera Cloud, Opera Nor1, Fastcom, Review response
  • This will suit someone seeking autonomy but is highly Honest and Professional 
  • You will bring an eagerness to work within a Boutique property making your own personal positive impact to its growth and development-BE PART OF THE CHANGE!
  • Knowledge of HubOS is advantageous 
  • You bring someone Knowledge of Housekeeping Operations would be a plus
