Job Description

How does your working day look like …

The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our diverse food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, cinema, and event spaces. This role involves overseeing the team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing inventory, maintaining high service standards, and contributing to the planning and execution of special events and promotions, including our weekly pop-up event. The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury service, an eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

  • You will assist the Director of Food & Beverage in managing the daily operations of five outlets, including restaurants, bars, cinema, and event spaces.
  • You will supervise and train food and beverage staff to ensure exceptional service standards and create memorable guest experiences.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring the availability of high-quality products while managing costs effectively.
  • Work with the culinary team to plan seasonal menus, special promotions, and seasonal pop-up events, ensuring creativity and alignment with the hotel’s brand.
  • Collaborate with marketing and events teams to develop and promote weekly pop-up events that appeal to guests and create excitement.
  • Monitor guest feedback and make adjustments as needed to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in budget planning and cost control initiatives to meet financial targets while maintaining quality service.
  • Manage managers' schedules, payroll, and performance reviews for food and beverage personnel.
  • Ensure smooth communication and coordination between departments to create seamless guest experiences.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about food, beverages, and industry trends to provide innovative solutions and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a guest-first mentality.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Experience with event planning, including pop-up events, is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of luxury service standards and guest expectations.
