Reporting to the Director of Finance, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and full compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
This role plays a key part in establishing efficient financial processes, supporting operational performance, and developing a high-performing finance team during the hotel's pre-opening phase and beyond.
Set to open its doors in 2026, Delano London will fuse historic charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting a reimagined experience that pays homage to the original visionary concept. The 67-key luxury retreat will blend soft minimalist design, generous living spaces and park views creating a distinctive lifestyle destination where design, dining, nightlife and wellbeing seamlessly converge.
What you’ll do…
- Support the Director of Finance in managing all accounting and finance operations across the hotel, including on-site Food & Beverage activities.
- Oversee the full month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support informed business decisions.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data by implementing effective internal controls, standard operating procedures, and continuous process improvements.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the accounting team through training, mentoring, cross-training, and performance management.
- Manage payroll accounting entries and work closely with Human Resources and external payroll providers to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries.
- Monitor departmental budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide financial guidance to operational leaders.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, treasury, and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting timely submissions.
- Prepare and support tax filings and payments, including VAT returns, PAYE, P11D reporting, and other relevant government obligations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Assist with the implementation of financial systems and controls during the hotel's pre-opening phase.
- Build strong relationships across departments to support operational efficiency and commercial performance.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Finance or senior leadership team.
What We’re Looking For…
- 2–3 years' experience within hotel finance or hospitality accounting.
- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing processes.
- Experience with hotel financial systems, including Property Management Systems (PMS), reservation systems, and other hospitality platforms.
- Sound understanding of UK statutory compliance, including VAT, PAYE, P11D, payroll, tax, and audit requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to prepare complex reconciliations and interpret financial information accurately.
- Experience supervising or mentoring finance team members.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential financial information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
- Thrives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
- Takes ownership and enjoys improving processes and controls.
- Is both detail-oriented and commercially minded.
- Brings a collaborative, positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Is adaptable, solutions-focused, and willing to support wherever needed.
- Has a genuine passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences behind the scenes by ensuring financial excellence.
What’s in it for you…
- The opportunity to launch a visionary hospitality brand in London and have a real impact on its success.
- Join an innovative, fast-growing, international group that’s committed to not just building new hotels but building a global brand.
- The chance to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding.
