Job Description

To assist the Cost Accountant to control food and beverage costs in an effective manner.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Update daily received items into system
  • Generate receiving report and ensure all receiving documents in place
  • Conduct spot checks on F & B inventory items
  • To assist in receiving and issuing functions when necessary
  • Conduct regular spot checks on procedures for purchasing, receiving, storing, issuing, food preparing and portioning
  • Conduct regular spot checks on portion control of all items dispensed in the kitchen
  • Conduct regular spot checks for beverage par stocks
  • Ensure that all merchandise is stored properly in locked storage areas and monitor security control of key for such areas
  • Ensure store items are checked regularly on expiry and freshness
  • Ensure procedures for issuing F&B items from the Store are properly adhered to
  • Assists Cost Controller to conduct month-end food and beverage inventories
  • Assists Cost Controller to Prepare monthly cost report
  • Assists Cost Controller to prepare monthly F&B cost control report for senior management detailing achieved cost against budget, inventory results and explaining any action points
  • Assist Accounts department with goods receiving inquiries and invoice application
  • Assists Cost Controller to Produce daily flash food cost report for Executive Chef & Team
  • To perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by management

Qualifications

  • Minimum LCCI higher level
  • Minimum of 1 year accounting experience preferably in a hotel.
