Rixos Qetaifan Island North

Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

The aquatics technician is tasked with ensuring the proper care and maintenance of aquatic systems, including water quality, and related mechanical equipment in the waterpark. Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and chemical balancing to maintain water quality and adhere to health and safety standards.

• Monitor and maintain filtration systems to ensure optimal water conditions for the Waterpark.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on aquatic equipment such as pumps, filters, and heating systems.
• Clean tanks, exhibits, and aquatic enclosures to maintain a sanitary and visually appealing environment.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance of aquatic area works in the waterpark
• Maintain work tools in good condition
• Able to perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Able to provide technical direction and on-the-job training
• Maintain water balance daily logs and records while on duty, paper and electronic
• Keep a correct inventory and write purchase order requests for items needed
• Participate in the on-call program and respond both by phone and in person as appropriate
• Report all potential hazards, safety concerns, and accidents immediately 
• Ensure effective communication and good relations between the engineering department and other departments in the water park
• Comply with Health and Safety Regulations

• Secondary / High school education
• Qualification in Trades Technician level, variety of engineering/maintenance
• Basic computer skills – ability to use BMS
• Good proficiency in English language
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in waterpark maintenance and repair.
• Physical stamina for lifting and carrying heavy equipment and working in outdoor environments.
