Job Description
We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new server, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food & Beverage offerings makes guests of our restaurants and lounges feel unique and valued.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the F&B Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist guests with menu items and make recommendations
- Sell and up-sell food and beverage items in a positive manner
- Maintain full knowledge of menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods
- Deliver and present food items to guest tables
- Process guest checks efficiently
- Bus and re-set tables
- Perform opening, cleaning, and closing duties
- Handle guest concerns and recoveries according to brand standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions
- Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- At least 6 months a-la-carte serving experience required in the last 5 years
- Successful completion of Food and Beverage test required 80% or above
- Pro Serve certification required .
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
