Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and operationally strong Resort Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a flagship island resort managed by Accor in the Maldives. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a solid background in remote island hospitality and international hotel brands. The successful candidate will play a key role in upholding Accor’s standards of service excellence while ensuring seamless guest experiences and efficient resort operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations across all departments: Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, Spa, and Dive Center.

  • Lead, train, and motivate departmental leaders to deliver consistently high service standards.

  • Ensure operational efficiency while maintaining the brand promise and service consistency.

  • Uphold and enhance guest satisfaction by ensuring attentive, personalized, and professional service delivery across the resort.

  • Address guest feedback and complaints proactively and professionally.

  • Monitor online reviews and guest surveys, implementing action plans for continuous improvement.

  • Foster a positive team culture aligned with Accor values: inclusion, innovation, and excellence.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and ensure succession planning is in place for key roles.

  • Support budget preparation, cost control, and financial analysis.

  • Optimize revenue and control operating costs across departments.

  • Monitor KPIs and operational targets, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Ensure full compliance with Maldivian labor, health, safety, and environmental laws.

  • Oversee emergency preparedness and crisis response procedures.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams to strengthen the resort’s market positioning.

  • Represent the resort in brand and owner meetings, maintaining alignment with Accor’s global standards.


Qualifications

  • Must have prior experience working in the Maldives or a comparable remote island location
  • Must have worked with well-known international hospitality brands, preferably within the Accor portfolio or similar
  • Strong operational leadership experience, ideally in resorts with 100+ keys and multiple F&B outlets
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in hospitality leadership roles, with at least 3 years as a Resort Manager or similar
  • Culturally adaptable, hands-on leadership style, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English; other languages (French, German, Mandarin, etc.) are a plus
  • Experience using PMS and hospitality software; knowledge of Accor systems is an advantage
