As a Portfolio Director of Sales & Marketing, you will oversee the sales and marketing operations for the following hotel:
Novotel Melbourne South Wharf features golden 26 level tower with 347 accommodation rooms & suites, Mr. Carpano Dining and Bar and Allora Café. The hotel is complemented with direct access to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), the Southern Hemisphere's largest meeting space and adjacent to the DFO centre, with 180+ retail brands.
Ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley is situated 25 minutes east of Melbourne CBD and it offers 155 rooms, Ibis Kitchen & Bar, and 4 flexible meeting rooms catering from 4 delegates up to 120 delegates. Our hotel is the gateway to the magnificent Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley Food & Wine District, the Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island.
Ibis budget Melbourne Airport offers 73 rooms and is situated just 400m from Melbourne Airport. With its convenient location, this affordable Melbourne Airport hotel is the ideal choice for visitors flying into Melbourne late at night, or flying out early in the morning.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Portfolio Director of Sales & Marketing to craft and execute sales strategies that maximise revenue and market share, lead a high-performing sales team to drive business growth, and elevate the hotel’s presence through innovative marketing initiatives.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will take ownership and follow the planned strategies and objectives.
As a Portfolio Director of Sales & Marketing you will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage the Sales and Marketing team to maximise market position of the hotel on an ongoing basis ensuring utilisation of sales resources.
- Prepare and administers the hotel’s sales & marketing plan and related budget ensuring integration of the strategic planning process in daily operations of the department to achieve total revenue goals.
- Direct and manage all sales training, yearly sales targets, sales quotas, the incentive plan and all other corporate and hotel learning required to maintain the most effective sales professionals in the market.
- Remains informed of the competition’s sales and marketing strategies and counteract effectively to secure maximum business for our hotel and our company.
- Develop a strategic plan for identifying major account and business opportunities in all market segments and thereby broadening the account base.
- Ensure the delivery of guest service through the operations group to exceed customer expectations.
- Maintains regular and effective communication with corporate sales and marketing management teams, and other local hotels while working with the Regional DOS&M on synergistic opportunities.
- Review weekly forecasts and market share reports and actively participate in ensuring business levels and market share is maintained.
- Have a complete understanding of the Hotel sales vision; its products, services, and rate structure to fulfil business objectives.
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or Hospitality.
- Minimum 5+ years of proven Sales & Marketing experience in the hospitality industry and ACCOR is advantageous.
- Strong ability to work under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of local businesses and industry trends.
- Experience managing costs, hit budgets and monitoring reports and plans.
- Experience with driving comprehensive marketing strategies and setting clear goals.
- Ability to combine commercial acumen with artistic flair to maximise opportunities.
- Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills.
- Strong focus and passion for hotel operations.
- Sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop and inspire teams.
- The ability to create meaningful connections, creating a high level of trust with our clients, guests and colleagues.
