Lifeguard

We are seeking a professional and vigilant Lifeguard to join our team at our stunning beachfront resort in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests whilst they enjoy our swimming facilities in this tropical paradise.

• Supervise all activities in the swimming pool and beach areas, maintaining a constant state of alertness to ensure guest safety
• Enforce water safety rules and regulations in a friendly yet assertive manner
• Respond swiftly and efficiently to any emergencies, providing immediate assistance and first aid when necessary
• Conduct regular safety checks of the swimming areas, equipment, and surroundings
• Monitor water quality and report any irregularities to the maintenance team
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pool and beach areas, including proper arrangement of loungers, umbrellas, and safety equipment
• Assist in organising and supervising water-based recreational activities for guests
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest enquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, rescues, and first aid administered

• Valid Lifeguard certification from a recognised organisation
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications (mandatory)
• Proven experience as a Lifeguard, preferably in a resort or beachfront setting
• Excellent swimming skills and physical fitness to perform water rescues
• In-depth knowledge of water safety regulations and emergency procedures
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Vietnamese or other languages is advantageous)
• Customer-focused attitude with a friendly and approachable demeanour
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and in various weather conditions
• Resilience to work outdoors for extended periods in a tropical climate
• Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments
