Job Description

  • Oversee and direct operations of water-sports, pool, and beach areas, ensuring strict adherence to guest satisfaction standards and safety protocols
  • Implement and supervise structured children's and inclement weather programmes with utmost attention to detail
  • Provide critical support to department head in budgeting, forecasting, and payroll management to ensure fiscal responsibility
  • Implement and maintain a rigorous staff training regimen and conduct thorough daily inspections to uphold quality control standards
  • Orchestrate staffing logistics, develop comprehensive procedural manuals, and conduct essential daily briefings
  • Rigorously monitor and manage the maintenance and cleanliness of all recreational facilities and equipment to meet the highest standards

Qualifications

  • Possession of a University degree or Diploma in Tourism / Hotel Management is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively within a team environment
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with motorised and non-motorised watersports equipment
  • A service-oriented disposition is imperative for this role
  • Proficiency in managing competing demands through effective prioritisation is essential
  • Superior organisational skills coupled with exemplary communication and interpersonal abilities are required
  • Proven track record of robust problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptional aptitude for cultivating and maintaining professional relationships
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a comparable position within a five-star resort environment is highly desirable.
  • To know how to swim and be certified in first aid.
  • Legal authorisation to work in Barbados is a prerequisite
