IT Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and innovative IT Specialist to join our dynamic team in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our organisation's technology infrastructure and providing exceptional support to our staff and clients.

• Manage and maintain the organisation's computer systems, networks, and software applications
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot IT issues for staff and clients in a timely manner
• Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against cyber threats
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement IT solutions that align with business objectives
• Conduct regular system audits and performance analyses to ensure optimal functionality
• Manage IT projects, including planning, execution, and documentation
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions
• Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures to ensure best practices are followed
• Provide training and guidance to staff on IT systems and software applications
• Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
• Assist in the development and management of the IT budget
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar IT role, preferably in a corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure
• Proficiency in various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Experience with network security protocols and best practices
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively
• Experience with IT service management and troubleshooting
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Adaptability to work in an island setting and embrace the local culture
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
• Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or ITIL Foundation would be advantageous
• Knowledge of Vietnamese language and culture would be a plus
