Job Description

Raffles The Red Sea is seeking an experienced and dynamic Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal supervisory role, you will oversee all food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction across our luxury resort. You will lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team while maintaining operational excellence, cost efficiency, and strict compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.

  • Supervise and coordinate all food and beverage staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen personnel, ensuring adherence to company standards and service protocols
  • Maintain and enforce rigorous quality standards for food presentation, beverage preparation, and overall guest service delivery
  • Manage inventory levels, monitor food and beverage costs, and implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality
  • Train, onboard, and develop team members through regular coaching, performance feedback, and skill-building initiatives
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits
  • Coordinate seamlessly between front-of-house and kitchen operations to optimize workflow and service efficiency
  • Address guest concerns and complaints professionally and promptly, implementing solutions to enhance satisfaction
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including guest feedback, staff performance, and operational efficiency
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operations, staffing, and financial performance to management
  • Customize service experiences to meet guest preferences and special requests while maintaining operational standards
  • Participate in menu planning and promotional activities to drive revenue and guest engagement

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience in food and beverage operations
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating diverse teams in a hospitality environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards, health codes, and sanitation best practices
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, cost control, and financial accountability
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills under pressure
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service experiences
  • Preferred: Experience in luxury hospitality or upscale resort environments
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Saudi Arabian hospitality standards and cultural practices
  • Preferred: Multilingual capabilities (Arabic and English fluency is advantageous)
  • Preferred: Knowledge of beverage management, wine service, or mixology
