Job Description

The Food & Beverage Server reports to the Captain/Asst. Maitre'd/Maitre’d and is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to our guests and ensure their satisfaction throughout their dining experience. You will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food & Beverage offerings make guests of our venues feel unique and valued.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide outstanding and enthusiastic service to guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience, attending to their needs, and exceeding their expectations.
  • Present menus, provide information about specials, answer guests' questions about menu items.
  • Reports to the Restaurant Captain at the start of shift to receive necessary instructions for the shift, side duties assigned, floor assignment, menu changes, guest comments and complains.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, relay them to kitchen and bar colleagues using computerized systems.
  • Check guest satisfaction, report any problems, take appropriate action to correct them.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, tidy, organized, well-stocked work area, including assigned tables.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  • Ensure tables are properly set, cleared, and reset throughout shift.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and relationships with colleagues.
  • Anticipate guests needs, respond to them promptly and acknowledge guest, however busy and whatever time of the day.
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a high volume restaurant or 1 year in a 4 Diamond Resort Food & Beverage operation
  • Previous point of sale system experience is an asset

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
