We are currently recruiting for a Director of Sales & Marketing to join our team at Carton House.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead commercial performance, drive revenue growth, and strengthen market positioning across all business segments.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated sales and marketing strategies across all revenue streams.
  • Lead and manage Sales, Marketing, Revenue, Reservations, and Events as a unified commercial function.
  • Drive revenue growth, market share, and profitability through data-driven decision making.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and revenue streams.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic direction.
  • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing commercial teams aligned to KPIs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support overall business strategy and operational excellence.
  • Ensure all systems and processes are optimised to maximise commercial performance.
  • Champion brand standards, customer experience, and service excellence.
  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and a results-focused culture.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, health & safety, and company policies.
  • Build partnerships with resort operations, hotel linkage, tour operators, corporate, society, memberships etc where applicable.
  • Prepare departmental strategies and establish effective goals, measurements and action plans.
  • Lead the annual budget preparation processes related to the department. Monitor return on invested capital and time resources.
  • Develop a strong team through consistent effective leadership, training, operational management and succession planning.

 


Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales and marketing leadership role, ideally within hospitality or a multi-revenue environment.
  • Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and commercial success.
  • Expertise in sales strategy, digital marketing, revenue management, and market analysis.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret performance data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Good presentation and influencing skills
  • Ability to multi task many projects and initiatives at once at a high level of quality and to tight timelines.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a high attention to detail.
