Job overview
Produce all necessary food for all food service operations in the correct time frame as required and instructed by the Sous chef or Chef de Partie.
Monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality during all stages of production and supply
Ensure that the cleaning of the kitchen and staff food service areas is to the agreed standard.
Maintaining quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the product presented.
Ensure stock rotation and use by dates for the production are followed
Liaise with the team to coordinate ordering and mise-en-place
- Previous experience as a Commis/Prep chef is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to display a real passion for food
