The Fairmont Hanoi will open in the Vietnamese capital before year end of 2025, making it the first Fairmont brand in the country. The 241-room luxury hotel will take design inspiration from the art of lacquer with the traditional colours of Vietnam, the Indochinese style from the French colonial period, and draws motifs from Vietnam’s dynasties. Job Description

The position is responsible for take responsibility and manage responsibility and report on the economic, financial and accounting entertainment activities of an enterprise, implementing organization.

Finance

  • Assisting in planning the accounting department
  • Assist the Financial Controller in handling accounting tasks. Support the Financial Controller in building the hotel's annual operating budget, forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual operations
  • Synthesize and analyze the use of costs and hotel revenue to ensure that capital is used effectively.
  • Carefully check the payments before transferring them to the Financial Controller and Director of Finance for approval
  • Coordinate with staff in the department to prepare monthly financial, tax, expense reports
  • Regularly monitor and update the latest changes in tax policy; carefully check the tax records and vouchers... to ensure that the hotel's tax issues are handled in accordance with the necessary processes and procedures
  • Coordinate with the Financial Controller to build, implement and check the operational processes of the hotel accounting department On behalf of the Financial Controller to run operations, solve problems of the Finance - Accounting department and report to the Financial Controller
  • Coordinate to plan periodic training for staff in the department on financial and accounting issues, internal control related to tax, payment system
  • Participate in the development, implementation and control of the accounting department's operating procedures
  • Together with the Financial Controller, make a plan to recruit personnel and coordinate with related departments to recruit personnel to meet job requirements
  • Provide professional guidance on data processing, accounting for arising economic operations for employees in the department.
  • Identify the development capabilities of the employees in the department and guide them in their professional development
  • Regularly compare and check bank accounts with accounting books on the computer, balance accounts, proactively detect errors for timely handling.
  • Checking revenue and expenditure before submitting to the Financial Controller
  • Other special duties when assigned by the Director of Finance

Department

  • Assisting in recruitment and training Staff.
  • Monthly review the employee's payroll and employee's regimes approved by the salary accountant to ensure accurate data before making payment.
  • Provide statistics and accounting data to superiors when required
  • Proactively propose ideas to improve the efficiency of work related to financial accounting

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and hotel systems

Competencies

  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of employees
  • Service oriented with an eye for details
  • Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team
  • Good presentation and influencing skills
