Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Bakery Chef to join our team in 6th of October City, Egypt. As a Bakery Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious baked goods, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety.

  • Develop and execute a diverse menu of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts
  • Oversee daily bakery operations, including production scheduling and inventory management
  • Train and supervise bakery staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards
  • Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with local regulations
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal and specialty items
  • Monitor and control food costs while maintaining product quality
  • Stay current with baking trends and techniques to innovate and improve offerings
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products
  • Participate in menu planning and recipe development
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or diploma in baking and pastry arts
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a professional bakery or restaurant setting
  • Proven expertise in various baking techniques and methods
  • Strong skills in recipe development and modification
  • Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management experience
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts, especially baking
  • Knowledge of Egyptian and international baking traditions
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
  • Valid food safety certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
