Job Description

Assistant Manager, Talent & Culture (Talent Acquisition)

Summary of Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:

  • Execute the recruitment process by taking charge of employee requisitions, replacements, promotions, transfers, deployment, redesignations and resignations with reference to the payroll and headcount budget.

  • Provide guidance to the Talent Acquisition team and closely monitor recruitment as well as colleague movement activities.

  • Carry out different recruitment methods such as company search engines, media advertisements, working with hospitality institutions, employment agencies, executive search companies, social media platforms such as Linkedin and internal notices to meet the manpower needs of the hotel.

  • Foster positive relationships with government and external agencies such as e2i, SGCareers, SHATEC for participation in job fairs and ensure good follow up.

  • To work with Marketing to ensure recruitment collaterals are up to date and in accordance with ACCOR guidelines. 

  • Ensure compliance to MOM regulations in the recruitment of foreign colleagues and managers

  • To prepare the monthly headcount and turnover reports and to monitor closely the hotel’s quota situation.  

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual recruitment budget and long-range plans in conjunction with the Director/Asst Director of Talent & Culture.

  • Ensure that exit interviews are conducted and use the feedback from the interviews to recommend employee retention programmes.

  • Ensure that all colleague and management personnel files are accurate and updated both in the HRI system and through regular filing.

  • Ensure that all mandatory legislated programmes are enforced and recorded on file with close tracking.

  • Ensure compliance with ACCOR audit requirements related to recruitment.

  • Ensure employee personal data are updated regularly, including the next of kin information for use in the event of an emergency.

  • Conduct induction/training as required related to recruitment and key terms and conditions of employment

  • Comply with the hotel and departmental policies and procedures at all times

  • Proposal file preparation for annual increment and bonus payout.

  • Report preparation – Mercer Annual Salary Survey, Fairmont Annual Salary Review

  • Conduct reference check and profiling assessment when necessary.

  • Management of recruitment agencies & headhunters, negotiating for the best recruitment fee rates.

  • Partner with Business Units, providing guidance and advisory.

  • Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel
