Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Assistant Director Engineering to join our team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, managing teams, and driving innovation within our organization.

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve engineering goals and objectives
  • Oversee multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering initiatives with overall business objectives
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively
  • Analyze complex engineering problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance engineering processes and outcomes
  • Prepare and present reports on project status, engineering performance, and strategic recommendations to senior management
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering management roles
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and industry standards
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and resource allocation
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor engineering teams
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in data analysis and quality control methodologies
  • Experience in risk management and mitigation strategies
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in the engineering field
  • Ability to think strategically and align engineering initiatives with business objectives
  • Willingness to travel as required for project oversight and client meetings
