Maintenance Supervisor

We've opened our first UK hotel outside of London…and where better than the characterful capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. We are now looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and play a crucial part in successfully launching our brand in this new neighbourhood. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting with management of the maintenance team – supporting the maintenance of the hotel’s facilities and equipment, regulatory compliances and everything in between.

The Hox in Edinburgh boasts 214 bedrooms influenced by the Georgian heritage of the building and city (including the introduction of a new room category for the Hox), a main restaurant and big lobby & bar, a large event space and The Apartment - our unique meetings and events concept.

What you’ll do…

• Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules & tests and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
• Supervise, support and train the team.
• Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
• Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
• Conduct preventative maintenance work.
• Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
• Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
• Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
• Fault repair, maintenance of equipment, plumbing, furniture and lighting.
• Perform general tasks such as connecting equipment, lighting, installing locks and hinges etc.
• Accurate control of the work and your own workspace and equipment.
• Prepare order and stock takes.
• Cover shift engineer shifts as required.
