We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Executive/ Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team.
This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, reconciliations, and financial administration including month end processes. Working closely with department managers and suppliers, you will play an important role in maintaining the financial integrity of the business while supporting the wider Finance team.

About you
You are organised, accurate, and enjoy working with numbers. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong customer service mindset when dealing with both internal teams and external suppliers.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounts Officer role.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Experience using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to prioritise work and consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Hospitality finance experience is advantageous but not essential.
What you'll be doing
- Processing supplier invoices and preparing payment runs.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving account discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate creditor records and financial documentation.
- Completing with bank reconciliations and month-end reporting.
- Processing expense claims, petty cash, general month end journals and accruals, and other finance administration.
- Supporting financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls.
- Building positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Salary guide: Full time 32 hours min per week, payrate guide between $32.69 - $36.05 depending on experiance
Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma, or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Accounts Officer, or Finance Administration role min 2 years
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software or experience with hospitality finance systems is advantageous
- Knowledge of GST requirements and New Zealand accounting practices is desirable.
