Job Description

Scope

To create a comfortable and relaxing experience for everyone using the pool and fitness areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keep all areas of the change rooms, pool, sauna, squash court, fitness room, and Spa deck clean at all times
  • Fold clean towels and store in appropriate areas
  • Ensure clean towels are always available in the pool and change rooms and take soiled towels to Laundry
  • Replenish amenities
  • Remove garbage and recycling
  • Assist guests with general gym facilities and ensure proper storage of equipment
  • Help ensure safety of pool area by keeping floors clean and dry
  • Sweep fitness room, squash court, and change rooms floors as needed throughout day
  • Daily set up and tear down of Spa deck, ensuring cleanliness throughout day
  • Report any health and safety concerns and equipment issues to Spa Leadership
  • Assist Spa Concierge team when needed

Qualifications

  • Customer service oriented
  • Intermediate-level verbal communication skills in English
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible to changing priorities
  • High standards for cleanliness
  • Keen attention to detail
  • CPR and 1st Aid training is an asset
  • Able to stand and walk repeatedly throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 22 pounds / 10 kg
  • Comfortable working in a damp, humid, and sometimes hot environment
