    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to join us at Amber state Pub. With a great team already in place and a bustling 7 day afternoon to dinner trade we are looking to expand our leadership team to take the venue to the next level. Amber state is a staple of Melbourne Airport.

    About you

    You’re a passionate hospitality leader who leads from the front and enjoys being part of the action during peak service periods. You care as much about delivering exceptional guest experiences as you do about achieving strong commercial results, bringing the same energy and commitment whether it's a quiet weekday or a packed venue. Calm under pressure and confident in your decision-making, you create a positive environment where teams feel supported and empowered to succeed. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you balance operational excellence, people leadership, and business performance to deliver consistently outstanding results.

    You hold a valid Victorian RSA and are available to work a flexible roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

    What you will be doing?

    Leading from the front: You'll be a visible and energetic presence on the floor, setting the standard for service excellence. Whether you're pouring beers, crafting cocktails, engaging with guests, or supporting your team during busy periods, you'll lead by example and create memorable experiences.

    Driving business performance: You'll take ownership of the venue's financial success, partnering with the General Manager and Finance team on budgets, forecasts, stock control, and cost management. You'll use insights and data to maximise profitability while maintaining an exceptional guest experience.

    Delivering operational excellence: From rostering and team planning to maintaining service standards and venue presentation, you'll ensure the pub runs smoothly, efficiently, and consistently every day.

    Creating exciting guest experiences: Working closely with Sales & Marketing, you'll bring promotions, events, and activations to life. You'll stay ahead of industry trends and local market opportunities to keep the venue vibrant, relevant, and growing.

    Building and inspiring high-performing teams: You'll recruit, coach, and develop a passionate team, fostering a positive culture where people feel valued, empowered, and motivated to deliver their best every day.
