Job Description

The Uniform Supervisor at Raffles & Fairmont Doha is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and distribution of all staff uniforms. This role ensures that uniforms are cleaned, repaired, and available in a timely manner, maintaining the impeccable presentation standards that reflect the luxury and professionalism of the Raffles & Fairmont brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily handling, collection, cleaning, repair, and distribution of employee uniforms.
  • Ensure all uniforms are properly maintained, cleaned, and presented to meet hotel standards.
  • Coordinate with various departments to manage uniform inventories and handle special uniform requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of uniform issuance, returns, damages, and repairs.
  • Inspect uniforms regularly for damage or wear and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary.
  • Monitor the stock levels of uniforms and related supplies, and assist in procurement planning.
  • Train and supervise uniform attendants and laundry staff assigned to uniform care.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the uniform handling area.
  • Work closely with the Laundry Department to ensure timely and quality cleaning of uniforms.
  • Assist in preparing reports related to uniform inventory, damages, and staff compliance.
  • Promote a positive working environment, encouraging teamwork and high standards of service.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in uniform management or laundry operations, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Good knowledge of fabric care, garment maintenance, and repair techniques.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
  • Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and presentation standards.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory and record management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays when required.
