At Accor, we create spaces that inspire, delight, and operate seamlessly. We are looking for a Technical Engineer – Civil & Architectural Design to join our project technical office in the Marsa Alam area, supporting large-scale construction and renovation projects across multiple premium resorts.

This office-based role focuses on design coordination and cost control — ensuring that the work of external architects and consultants is fully aligned, practical to execute, cost-optimised, and meets all brand and operational requirements.

The role is a vital bridge between creative design and buildable reality, ensuring that every project achieves the highest quality at the right cost.

Your Mission

Design Coordination & Integration

• Liaise between third-party architects and third-party consultants (structural, MEP, interiors, landscape) to ensure a fully unified design outcome.
• Review and cross-check drawings for alignment between architectural and civil works, identifying and resolving any conflicts.
• Organise and document design coordination meetings, ensuring timely decisions and progress.

Value Engineering & BOQ Development

• Conduct value engineering exercises to optimise designs for cost-efficiency without compromising quality or guest experience.
• Develop and finalise Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for the civil and architectural scope after design coordination and value engineering are complete.
• Ensure BOQs are clear, complete, and aligned with tendering and procurement requirements.

Technical & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure all designs and BOQs comply with local building regulations, international standards, and Accor brand guidelines.
• Coordinate with operational teams to ensure design solutions support functionality, safety, and long-term maintainability.
• Verify smooth integration with MEP systems and other disciplines.

Project & Tender Support

• Support tender documentation and contractor selection by providing accurate quantities, technical clarifications, and scope breakdowns.

Track and manage consultant deliverables to meet agreed deadlines.

Your Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design coordination and BOQ development for large-scale projects, preferably in hospitality or resort development.
• Strong knowledge of civil and architectural systems, with a keen understanding of how they integrate with other disciplines.
• Proven experience in value engineering and preparing detailed BOQs.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings; AutoCAD proficiency is essential, Revit knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an asset.
