Team Leader Reservations

Region

Europe and North Africa

Company Description

Mercure Amsterdam City is looking for a driven and enthusiastic colleague with a passion for the hotel industry. Do you get energy from optimizing processes and leading a team? Then this is your chance! Together with Anouk (Cluster Commercial Manager) and Lars (Front Office & Reservations Manager), you will manage the reservations department and ensure smooth daily operations.

With 368 rooms, two restaurants, a spacious terrace, a cozy bar, and no fewer than 14 meeting rooms, there is plenty to organize. That’s why we are looking for a full-time Team Leader Reservations to help us take the department to the next level!

Job Description

Who are we looking for?
You are commercially driven, proactive, and able to identify and seize opportunities. You have at least two years of leadership experience within hotel reservations and are familiar with working with budgets and the realities of a commercial environment. Experience with MICE reservations is essential; you have worked not only with individual bookings but also with group and corporate requests.

We are looking for an energetic and positive Team Leader who enjoys managing a diverse team. Experience with Opera Cloud is a plus, and you know how to handle a dynamic working environment where higher workloads may occur. Although the team processes most requests, you can easily jump in whenever needed.

Qualifications

What will you do?
As Team Leader Reservations, you are the main point of contact for all group and event requests within our hotel. You ensure professional and efficient coordination of these reservations and lead your team with enthusiasm, clarity, and a focus on development.

Together with the team, you organize group reservations and events from A to Z. You make sure all details are correct so the operational departments know exactly what to expect and everything runs smoothly. You also ensure proper registration, administration, and follow-up of both your own reservations and those of the team.

You actively handle aftercare and relationship management, resolve any complaints, and make well-considered decisions when needed. With your clear communication, engaged attitude, and ability to switch quickly, you contribute to a strong team spirit and the commercial success of the department.
