Tailor - Mӧvenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba
You are at the heart of the hotel! As a Tailor, you will take ownership of guest rooms, ensuring that our guests are provided with a clean, comfortable space, and be a part of creating a memorable experience for them.
The Tailor all relevant activities in the field of housekeeping and to maintain all guest and employees’ linens clean tidy, cleanliness of the Machines as well as other areas assigned to him/her, to provide efficient, personalized, courteous and punctual service and to work with a team spirit to ensure that each guest leaves the Resort fully satisfied. This should be proceeded always with due regard to execution and maintenance of our operational policies and standards international and domestic.
In performing these duties, he/she shall always maintain good relations with his/her supervisor, the Department Heads and supervisors as well as with the local authorities and other key persons.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Is responsible for altering and repairing of all uniforms and linen.
- Handles all repairs for guests
- Records all his work in logbook
- Makes the requisition for sewing material needed on monthly basis
- Keep linen room clean & organized.
- Must attend all scheduled training and on the job training sessions.
- Ensure the highest level of personal hygiene; uniform is worn in the correct and cleanliness manner.
- Always conduct himself in a professional and forthright manner
- Performs duties common to all no-supervisory personnel and other duties as may be assigned
- Promotes good employee relations
- Maintain a climate of trust and team spirit though out the operation
- Providing excellent self-discipline, gains respect from all and inspires good teamwork
- Leading by example
- Guest suggestions must be listened to and brought to the laundry manager’s attention
- Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures
