Job Description


Responsible for the total receiving activities including the postage of goods to their point of final delivery, the control of returnable crates and bottles, recording the accounting function of receiving and for the cleanliness of the receiving area.


  • To control record and monitor the receiving of goods at the hotel’s receiving by maintaining records to properly account for issues and inventories and ensuring that established maximum/minimum stock levels are maintained.
  • Receive all goods ensuring that they are in accordance with the delivery notes and purchase orders as to weight and/or quantity and category.
  • Record receipt of goods on receiver’s report as directed.
  • Ensure goods are promptly and safely delivered to their point of final delivery.
  • Control the flow and movement of goods and personnel in the receiving area and that the storerooms are kept clean and tidy.
  • Control and record the storing and returning of returnable bottles and crates.
  • Issue goods in accordance with properly authorized requisitions.


  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level, most likely within a business or hospitality management-related discipline, or experience equivalent.
  • Prior experience in pre-opening is a plus.
  • Native Arabic speaker and fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
  • Must be friendly user of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Previous working experience in the same position in a 5 star hotel is a plus.
