Job Description
Staff Housing Attendant
At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, an exceptional guest experience begins with an exceptional colleague experience. As a Staff Housing Attendant you will be responsible for ensuring our colleague accommodations are maintained on a daily basis and ready for when colleagues move in.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Starting Rate of Pay: $22.70 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $31.25.
Job Duties Include:
- Maintain and clean colleague housing units and common areas
- Complete inspections (pre-arrival, departure, quarterly) and preventative maintenance tasks
- Carry out minor repairs (painting, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) and respond to maintenance requests
- Support stock control and ordering of housing supplies
- Assist with housing operations, tenant support, and policy compliance
- Monitor emergency housing phone and respond to incidents, including fire alarms
- Assist with renovation projects, furniture assembly, and appliance changes
- Perform seasonal duties (snow removal in winter, landscaping in summer)
- Maintain high health & safety and customer service standards
Qualifications
- Maintenance, cleaning, or similar experience preferred
- General handyperson skills are an asset
- Valid BC Driver’s License required (comfortable driving in winter conditions)
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Able to work independently
- Physically fit; able to lift up to 70 lbs
