Job Description

 

The Senior Sales Manager – Weddings is responsible for driving revenue through the successful sales and coordination of wedding events. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, developing wedding sales strategies, and ensuring seamless event execution in collaboration with operations and culinary teams. The Senior Sales Manager reports to Director of Sales - Weddings, and serves as the primary contact for wedding clients from inquiry to event delivery, ensuring each celebration reflects the highest service and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve and exceed wedding sales targets.

  • Manage all aspects of the wedding sales process, including inquiries, proposals, negotiations, and contracts.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, bridal parties, and external vendors.

  • Conduct site visits, presentations, and menu tastings to showcase offerings.

  • Customize wedding packages based on client needs while ensuring profitability.

  • Coordinate with operations, culinary, and banquet teams to ensure flawless event execution.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and client communications.

  • Monitor competitor offerings, trends, and pricing to keep packages competitive and innovative.

  • Mentor and support junior sales staff, providing guidance on best practices.

  • Represent the venue/brand at bridal fairs, expos, and networking events to maximize exposure.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).

  • Minimum 5–7 years of sales experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or wedding/event venues.

  • Strong understanding of wedding trends, cultural preferences, and event logistics.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and project management abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple events and deadlines.

  • Strong client-service orientation with the ability to build long-term relationships.

  • Knowledge of event sales systems (e.g., Delphi, Opera, Salesforce) is an advantage.
