Your purpose will be:

The Senior Sales Manager, Golf Memberships & Events is responsible for driving revenue through the sale, retention, and development of golf memberships, golf-related events, and associated leisure, hospitality, and corporate sales opportunities at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere.

This role focuses on golf membership acquisition and engagement, delivery of member-led and corporate golf events, and the cross-selling of rooms, food & beverage, spa, and wellness in line with Fairmont brand standards. The position plays a key role in positioning The Mere as a leading luxury golf and lifestyle destination. Where applicable, this role will also involve management. 


Job Description

  • Drive golf membership sales, renewals, and upgrades across all categories, building strong relationships with prospective and existing members.
  • Lead the sales and coordination of golf events, including member competitions, corporate golf days, and charity tournaments.
  • Maximise revenue across golf, rooms, food & beverage, spa, and wellness through cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of golf-related and lifestyle accounts, ensuring retention and growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activity, memberships, and events within approved systems.
  • Produce regular sales reports covering memberships sold, event revenue, and pipeline activity.
  • Ensure all sales activities align with Fairmont Brand Standards, Accor SOPs, and luxury service expectations.
  • Collaborate with the wider Sales team and Accor Sales Network to support broader commercial objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years Golf Senior Sales Management experience within a luxury hotel environment
  • Extensive knowledge of managing your own sales pipeline for corporate clients
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
  • Ability to engage effectively with luxury clientele and senior stakeholders
  • Experience in managing budgets, cost control, and forecasting
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of operational profitability.
  • Upholds brand standards for professional conduct and presentation
