Cooinda Lodghe Kakadu is seeking an experienced Senior Hotel Accountant for a three-month fixed-term contract based in Darwin. In this role, you will support and assisting the Financial Controller and the Finance Department in overseeing critical financial operations and ensuring compliance.

This position offers the potential to transition to a long-term opportunity for the right candidate, focusing on departmental performance and financial excellence.


Job Description

  • Complete month-end and year-end closing journals and compile financial reports for management.

  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements and all related financial reports.

  • Prepare quarterly GST submission and manage corporate tax compilation and submission.

  • Supervise the finance team, recruit and develop staff, and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Develop and deliver staff training and manage team performance


Qualifications

  • Diploma in Accounting or Finance (minimum required)

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within hospitality/finance

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting systems

  • High attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
