We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Engineering Laborer. As a Sanitation Attendant at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge your care and attention to detail will ensure that our guests have a memorable stay in the Canadian Rockies. 

What you will be doing:   

Reporting to the Director, Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:  

• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service  
• Follow all company policies, procedures, service standards and operational guidelines 
• Provide quality work in keeping with Brand standards outlined by supervisor 
• Collecting garbage, cardboard and recyclables from bins, containers, and public spaces 
• Transport and dispose of waste materials at approved recycling and disposal facilities in compliance with environmental regulations. 
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and environmental policies, including completing required documentation and inspections 
• Able to drive standard operational vehicles such as pickup truck, garbage truck, forklift and skyreach lift. 
• Serve as backup relief Laborer and perform all associated duties when assigned 
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of waste management, storage, and work areas 
• Safely operate tools such as hand tools, chainsaw, hoist, rigging material, log splitter 
• Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel vehicles

• Other duties as assigned  

Your experience and skills include: 

• Previous experience is an asset  
• High school and/or technical school education 
• Must be in excellent physical condition 
• Able to repair and replace brick pathways 
• Ability to work safely and ensure co-workers are working safely and adhering to the JPL safe work practices and confined space operations 
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently 
• Mechanically inclined and able to operate equipment an asset 
• Mechanical/Maintenance experience an asset 
• Must possess a Valid Alberta driver’s license 

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
