Hotel Overview:

Located in the heart of downtown Fairmont New Orleans will be an impressive new addition to Fairmont’s luxury portfolio, offering 250 luxury guest rooms, four food & drink venues, a rooftop pool with expansive views of the city, more than 19,000 square feet of function space, and a 10,000 square-foot spa.

This property is destined to become an illustrious destination in the Central Business District, nearby the city’s renowned and historic French Quarter.

The Lobby Lounge Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverage orders, supporting Servers, maintaining service stations, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting with overall Lounge operations. The ideal candidate is energetic, attentive, organized, and passionate about providing exceptional hospitality. 

Responsibilities:

• Support Servers in delivering seamless, professional, and engaging guest experiences
• Deliver food and beverage orders promptly, accurately, and according to presentation standards  
• Verify orders for accuracy, completeness, presentation, temperature, and special requests before delivery
• Maintain knowledge of the Lobby Lounge food and beverage menu, including ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, and daily offerings  
• Communicate special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies accurately to the appropriate team members
• Assist Servers with clearing, resetting, and maintaining guest tables
• Remove used plates, glassware, utensils, and service items promptly and safely
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining areas, bar areas, and guest pathways
• Stock service stations with glassware, silverware, napkins, condiments, menus, and other supplies
• Assist with transporting trays, food, beverages, dishware, and service equipment safely
• Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, Culinary, Stewarding, Hosts, and leadership
• Assist with VIP experiences, special occasions, events, and high-volume service
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests
• Escalate guest concerns or service issues appropriately to Servers or leadership
• Maintain knowledge of Fairmont New Orleans amenities, services, dining outlets, and events
• Assist with opening and closing duties, side work, stocking, cleaning, and resetting the Lounge
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety procedures
• Maintain a polished and professional appearance
• Uphold Fairmont New Orleans luxury hospitality standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Previous restaurant, food runner, banquet, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred
• Luxury hotel or upscale dining experience is an asset
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
• Ability to remain composed and professional during busy service periods
• Positive, energetic, and service-oriented attitude  
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor required  
• Ability to follow instructions and service procedures consistently 
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts  
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States 
• Must possess or be able to obtain required Louisiana food safety certifications
