Job Description
Love working in a fast-paced team and take pride in a job well done? Join our Housekeeping team at Mercure Queenstown Resort! As a Room Attendant, you'll help create a welcoming and comfortable stay for our guests by making sure every room is clean, fresh, and ready for their arrival. You'll be part of a supportive team that takes pride in delivering great experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas to a high standard.
- Replenish guest amenities, linen, and room supplies.
- Report maintenance issues, lost property, and any health and safety concerns.
- Handle housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
- Work efficiently to meet daily room targets.
- Follow hotel procedures and maintain high cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards.
- Deliver friendly, professional service to guests and work collaboratively with the Housekeeping team.
- Actively support and participate in safe work practices following health and safety,
rehabilitation, environment and smoke-free policies and procedures in the workplace.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage, but not essential.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, guest-focused approach.
- Physically fit and able to carry out the demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and being on your feet for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
