Job Description

The Mercure Townsville has a fantastic opportunity for an energetic, "hands-on" leader with a guest-focused approach to exceed guest expectations.

As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of Celsius Restaurant. You will work closely with the front-of-house staff to inspire and develop our team while maintaining our high standards of food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, run, and control the operational floor of the restaurant according to business demand
  • Set, implement, and review service standards to ensure consistent quality
  • Conduct training, performance evaluations, and counselling of staff
  • Recruit and select team members who align with our standards and values
  • Efficiently manage rosters and costs to optimise operations
  • Review guest feedback, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes
  • Ensure WH&S and sustainability commitments are upheld within the department
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in leading and managing a successful team in a high-volume restaurant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, multitask, and work effectively in a team environment
  • Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, initiative, and the ability to think creatively
  • Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills
  • Immaculate personal presentation and attention to detail
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
  • Flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
