Novotel Melbourne South Wharf is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our service team, optimise operations, and elevate our Guests' dining experiences across our Award-Winning Restaurant, Bar/Café and Room Service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service aligned with business demand.
• Set, implement, and maintain high service standards, driving quality and a consistent guest experience.
• Identify revenue opportunities, manage costs effectively, and optimise workplace efficiency through roster management and inventory control.
• Lead and develop your team through targeted training, performance evaluations, and mentorship, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Conduct training, performance evaluations, and counselling of staff
• Recruit team members who align with our standards and values, ensuring a high level of guest engagement and satisfaction.
• Review guest feedback regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments.
• Utilise and maintain operational systems, including Micros and PP+, to streamline service and enhance controls.
• Ensure WH&S and sustainability commitments are upheld within the department
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery

• Proven experience in leading and managing a successful team in a high-volume restaurant
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks, multitask, and work effectively in a team environment
• Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, initiative, and the ability to think creatively
• Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills
• Immaculate personal presentation and attention to detail
• Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate & valid right to work in Australia
• Flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
