Job Description

  1. Greeting Guests: Welcome guests upon their arrival and ensure a positive first impression.

  2. Reservation Management: Manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of available space.

  3. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

  4. Seating Guests: Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and assist in seating arrangements according to the reservation and seating plan.

  5. Communication: Collaborate with the waitstaff, kitchen, and management to coordinate efficient and smooth operations.

  6. Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and dining section.

  7. Assisting with Events: During events or busy periods, hostesses may be required to assist in organizing and coordinating special functions.

  8. Up-selling: Promote special offers, menu items, or promotions to increase revenue.

  9. Knowledge of the Establishment: Stay informed about the restaurant's menu, specials, and events to provide accurate information to guests.

  10. Handling Reservations: Manage phone and online reservations, confirm bookings, and maintain an organized reservation system.

  11. Adhering to Policies: Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to customer service and hospitality.


Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is usually the minimum requirement.
Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus.
