Job Description
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Reservation Associate - Telephone Operator to join our team in Mysuru, India. In this role, you will be the voice of our organization, handling incoming calls and managing reservations with efficiency and courtesy. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth operations. This position requires someone who is organized, empathetic, and committed to creating positive customer experiences through every interaction.
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner, addressing customer inquiries and requests promptly
- Process reservation requests accurately using our reservation management system, ensuring all details are correctly documented
- Provide customers with detailed information about services, availability, pricing, and policies
- Manage multiple calls simultaneously while maintaining composure and delivering quality service to each caller
- Input and update customer information and reservation data with precision and attention to detail
- Handle customer concerns and complaints with empathy, working toward satisfactory resolutions
- Coordinate with other departments to confirm reservations and ensure customer requirements are met
- Maintain organized records of all transactions and interactions for quality assurance and reference purposes
- Follow company protocols and procedures consistently to ensure compliance and operational excellence
- Meet or exceed performance targets related to call handling, customer satisfaction, and reservation accuracy
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Reservation Associate, Telephone Operator, or similar customer-facing role
- Proficiency with reservation management systems and standard office software applications
- Excellent verbal communication skills with clear pronunciation and professional telephone etiquette
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- High accuracy in data entry and attention to detail when processing reservations
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Problem-solving abilities and willingness to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across departments
- Preferred: Experience in the hospitality, travel, or tourism industry
- Preferred: Familiarity with CRM systems and customer management platforms
- Preferred: Bilingual communication abilities (English and regional languages)
- Preferred: Experience handling high call volumes in a fast-paced environment
