Public Areas Attendant

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Public Areas Attendant to join our vibrant team at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and Convention Centre. Our resort brings together laid-back coastal luxury and playful charm. With over 370 stylish rooms, a sparkling pool, a lively lagoon perfect for water sports, and a variety of dining options, there’s always something happening across the property.

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented to help maintain the high standard of presentation across our public spaces - creating a clean, welcoming environment for every guest, every day.

We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-focused Public Area Attendant to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our public and back-of-house areas, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Cleaning and maintaining public and back-of-house areas in line with hotel standards
• Supporting stocktakes and ensuring proper use and storage of cleaning products
• Following all safety and hygiene procedures when handling cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Assisting with housekeeping tasks including room cleaning, houseman duties, laundry, and uniform areas
• Responding to guest and team member requests promptly and professionally

• A positive, friendly attitude with a strong focus on guest service
• Physically fit and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining presentation standards
• Flexible and reliable, with availability to work across a rotating seven-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
