Porter provides exemplary guest service and hospitality through a wide range of duties. As the first point of contact for arriving guests, Porter warmly welcomes and assists them with their luggage, ensuring a smooth check-in experience. With a professional and courteous demeanor, Porter also offers recommendations for dining, entertainment, and local attractions, aiming to enhance the guest's overall stay. Additionally, Porter may assist in valet services, transportation arrangements, and handling guest inquiries. By delivering exceptional service and personalized attention, Porter plays a pivotal role in creating a lasting positive impression, upholding the hotel's reputation for luxury and excellence within the international chain.
Candidates for this position must be team players who are genuinely passionate about serving guests, at all times thoughtfully focusing on anticipating and exceeding their expectations. They must be able to interact confidently with guests in a naturally friendly and engaging manner, to work fast as well as to deal with complaints patiently in order to turn them into positive experiences. To be successful in the job, candidates must be able to speak and write in English and to operate common computer applications for the job. A Diploma in Hotel Administration is preferred.
