Job Description

The Personal Trainer is responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of the fitness and wellness programs with the hotel. They ensure exceptional service delivery through group and personal training sessions and support guests reach their goals. They also ensure upkeep and maintenance of the gym, studio, and related guest facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute and deliver personal and group fitness and wellness programs, helping guests achieve their goals
  • Conduct fitness assessments, consultations (PAR‑Q, health history), and personalize training plans
  • Lead one‑on‑one training sessions and group classes safely and professionally, demonstrating proper form and spotting
  • Adhere strictly to Spa policy and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring operational consistency and guest safety
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, upholding Fairmont’s values and building relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times in guest-facing environments
  • Stay well-informed about all aspects of the spa, fitness facilities, equipment, and wellness offerings
  • Assist in planning and scheduling monthly group classes and workshops
  • Proactively follow up with guests regarding scheduled training appointments and referrals
  • Support other spa, fitness, and recreation areas operationally when needed
  • Safeguard all guests, clients, and team members by enforcing safety and hygiene standards
  • Maintain and pursue continuous professional certification and updated knowledge in fitness and wellness
  • Uphold confidentiality for spa and guest data, in line with corporate policy
  • Execute duties graciously and professionally, creating a memorable experience for each guest
