This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a passion for people, hospitality, and culture, who is eager to grow within a refined yet modern luxury environment.

Working closely with People & Culture leadership, you will support initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, colleague engagement, benefits, and compliance. You will be a trusted point of contact for colleagues, ensuring every interaction reflects Sofitel’s values of elegance, warmth, discretion, and genuine care.

This position will pay between $29-31.50/hour.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Colleague Experience & Culture

  • Support thoughtfully curated colleague engagement initiatives, celebrations, and recognition programs that reflect Sofitel’s art de vivre.

  • Maintain the People & Culture event calendar, ensuring timely execution of holidays, cultural moments, and diversity-focused programming.

  • Assist with internal recognition programs such as Heartist of the Month, including nominations, tracking, communications, and presentation materials.

  • Ensure colleague-facing People & Culture communications and boards are current, polished, and aligned with Sofitel brand standards.

Recruitment & Talent Journey

  • Support recruitment activities and applicant tracking systems, ensuring a seamless, elegant, and professional candidate experience.

  • Coordinate onboarding and integration plans for new hires, with particular attention to leadership and early-career talent.

  • Ensure all pre-employment and new hire documentation is completed accurately, confidentially, and in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate union job postings and required correspondence with care, precision, and compliance.

Induction & Onboarding

  • Help deliver a warm, refined onboarding experience that makes new colleagues feel welcomed, prepared, and inspired.

  • Support orientation sessions alongside People & Culture leadership.

  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential colleague files in accordance with Sofitel and legal standards.

Benefits, Compliance & Colleague Support

  • Serve as an approachable and knowledgeable resource for colleagues seeking guidance on benefits, policies, and People & Culture programs.

  • Support benefits enrollment, life events, and coverage changes with empathy and attention to detail.

  • Assist with leave of absence documentation and agency submissions.

  • Maintain clear, accessible benefits and policy resources for colleagues.

People & Culture Operations

  • Support daily People & Culture operations, including reporting, correspondence, data entry, and documentation.

  • Maintain HR systems and colleague records with exceptional accuracy, discretion, and organization.

  • Assist with job description updates and organizational documentation.

  • Create colleague name badges and identification in line with Sofitel presentation standards.

Health, Safety & Wellbeing

  • Support workplace health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring compliance with local regulations and Sofitel standards.

  • Participate in safety trainings, fire drills, and emergency preparedness programs.

  • Assist with tracking safety training and compliance documentation in partnership with Security leadership.

 


Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

  • 1–2 years of experience in HR, hospitality, or a service-oriented administrative role (internships and hotel experience welcomed).

  • A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and colleague experience.

  • Strong organizational skills with a refined attention to detail.

  • Polished interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • A collaborative, culturally aware mindset with confidence working across diverse teams.

  • Multilingual abilities are a strong asset (English required; Spanish and Chinese highly desirable).

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, service-driven environment.
