Pastry Chef de Partie

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and Convention Centre. The ideal candidate will possess a creative flair and a genuine love for the art of baking!

Our coastal resort features over 370 luxurious rooms, a sparkling pool, a vibrant lagoon for water activities, delightful dining options, and a state-of-the-art convention centre that can accommodate up to 1,500 guests. As Pastry Chef, you will create an array of desserts, pastries, and baked goods, designing innovative seasonal menus while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.

The successful applicant should have professional culinary training, experience in a similar role, and a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. If you are a team player with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, we would love to hear from you.

• Trade qualifications and prior experience in the hotel industry are preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety requirements.
• Service-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate well with team members at all levels.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
