Pullman Auckland is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician / Painter to support the Engineering team with the daily maintenance needs of the hotel.

This hands-on role involves a mix of painting, general building maintenance, and minor repair tasks to help keep our property looking its best.

• Complete high‑quality painting, finishing, and touch‑up work across the hotel.
• Maintain paint stock levels and keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and support the Engineering team with daily operational tasks.
• Keep painting and maintenance records up to date and sign off required manuals.
• Work with the team to return guest rooms and public areas to service quickly.
• Assist with minor carpentry, wood polishing, tiles, and grouting when required.
• Support tradespeople with tasks needing an extra hand.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by Management.

• At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or a similar industry; experience in the hotel or tourism industry is preferred but not required.
• Trade qualifications are preferred but not essential.
• Working knowledge of building compliance, risk management, and a passion for environmental sustainability.
• Hands-on approach required—this is not an administrative role
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think effectively, logically, and resourcefully.
• Demonstrates responsibility, self-motivation, and proactivity, while consistently bringing a positive attitude to the hotel team.
• Ability to work a rotating roster.
• Have rights to Work in New Zealand
