You will be responsible to uphold the building’s décor in accordance with the Sofitel standards, ensuring all decorating tasks are completed efficiently and to the required specifications, while minimising disruptions to hotel guests. Additionally, to support the Engineering team as needed and assist with shifts during holiday periods as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a professional, friendly, and efficient impression of the Hotel at all times.
• Prioritise tasks related to guest comfort and satisfaction
• Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, contributing to a cohesive team environment and collaboration with other departments.
• Report all emergencies and complaints in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required for the role.
• Remain aware of guests' needs at all times, utilising available knowledge and resources to meet those requirements.
• Maintain vigilance regarding potential fraud, theft, and security risks.
• Adhere to the company's Talent and Culture policies and procedures as applicable.
• Be fully familiar with all facilities and services offered by Sofitel London St James.
• Perform regular painting, decoration, tiling, and handyman tasks as directed by the Coordinator, Supervisor, or authorised manager.
• Work independently, handling guest requests efficiently and courteously.
• Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and statutory requirements, particularly in relation to ladder safety, working at heights, and COSHH directives.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop or paint storage areas at all times.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the Hotel, including its layout, technical services, security measures, and safety protocols.
• Remain adaptable throughout the working day to meet guest demands.
• Inform other departments of any ongoing work within the Hotel.
• Assist operations as required to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth service delivery.
