Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Order Taker to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a crucial member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for accurately taking and processing customer orders while ensuring a positive dining experience.

  • Answer incoming calls and greet customers promptly and professionally
  • Take accurate and detailed food and beverage orders from customers
  • Input orders into the restaurant's order management system
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy
  • Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about food items, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Upsell additional menu items when appropriate
  • Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and complaints with patience and professionalism
  • Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
  • Stay updated on menu changes, daily specials, and ongoing promotions
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using order management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
  • Basic math skills for handling financial transactions
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items, including local cuisine and cultural preferences
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong listening skills and ability to accurately record customer orders
  • Patience and problem-solving skills to handle customer inquiries and complaints
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist colleagues during busy periods
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
